Long open Bizkaia beach 25 minutes from Bilbao. Consistent sandbar peaks and a less serious crowd than Mundaka or Sopelana.
Right-hand reef break west of Sopelana, beneath the cliffs of La Galea. A long, fast wall on solid NW swells.
Sheltered beach inside the Urdaibai biosphere reserve, north of Mundaka. A more forgiving alternative when the rivermouth is too big.
